Worthy Brother Knights,
Thanks again for supporting our activities during August. As you know our Knights of Columbus Council #5262, promotes family values by providing numerous activities throughout the year that the entire family can participate in. Our charity involves many activities within our Parish community, local community, the State of Texas and World Wide, so please don't hesitate in joining us in support of these activities.
Welcome, to our newest members Brothers Rey Lopez and Paul Revilla, both received their First Degree on the 14th of August during our General Membership Meeting, CONGRATULATIONS!

Please pray for all our deceased Brother Knights and their families and to all our men and women in the military, especially to Brother Knights Rosenbert A Hernandez serving in United States Coast Guard and Brother Knight William A Ramos serving in the United States Army.

Chaplain's Message
September is a time of new beginnings in school and work following the laid back rhythms of the summer season. The Liturgy of the Word for the month continue marking the journey of Christian Life. During this month, the readings represent a persistent call to a committed and generous action. Christians are called to God's logical generosity, which is unlike human logic where everything has a price and is measured.
In the first weekend we celebrate Labor Day, which although it is a civil holiday, provides great opportunity for catechesis on the sense of dignity in work and the mission as co-creator with God inherent in everyone.
Fr. José L. De La Rosa
During the last five weeks a few dedicated brother knights and ladies have worked very hard to host three Tardiada Fund Raisers, net income $601.97. But the greatest disappointment was the lack of community and council support. Two tardiadas are scheduled for this month, see announcements p2 and calendar for details. Hopefully the events will prove to be a good source of revenue. If not, we will discontinue and try something else.
I would like to thank the brother knights and their spouses who came out to work, to those who donated prizes for the raffles and to those who came out to have fun. Your support is appreciated.
Juan X. Soto, Director and Event Chairman

We want to welcome everyone back from our summer break. Our first fall meeting will be held at 7:00 on Thursday, September 20. It will be a pot luck, so bring your favorite dish.
We also want to welcome our new officers: Betty Seuferer, president; BLANK, vice-president; secretary; and Nancy Hughen, treasurer. We hope to see a lot of familiar faces as well as many new ones. If everyone will bring one new member, we will be more able to support our Council and our charities. The Ladies Auxiliary bake sale at the Friday night Bingo supports 2 seminarians, St Peter and St Joseph Home, Allied Women's Center (a Catholic crisis pregnancy center), and the SVDP Friendship House. So as you can see, we need a lot of help.
Please remember in your prayers Richard Gonzales .Hope to see all of you on the 18th!
